The hotel is also an ideal venue for meetings and events: conventions, conferences, weddings, private receptions, and elegant ceremonies.

OUR HISTORY

How the hotel Terme Marine Leopoldo II came to be

Once a fishing village, Marina di Grosseto is now a renowned seaside resort on the Maremma coast.

Its development is linked to Leopold II of Tuscany, who spearheaded the major land reclamation project in what was once a marshy area. In fact, water remains the defining element of this land. It is a common thread that extends all the way to our hotel: the seawater, the thermal water that flows beneath the building, and the figure of Leopold II himself, to whom the hotel is dedicated.

Today, nestled among the pine trees of the Tombolo and the blue of the sea, stands the Hotel Terme Marine Leopoldo II: the only hotel in Tuscany where you can alternate between the sea and swimming pools fed by a natural thermal spring.

SET AMIDST A TRUE OASIS

The extraordinary setting of the Tombolo pine forest

Our hotel, surrounded by greenery in Marina di Grosseto, is nestled in the beautiful setting of the Pineta del Tombolo.

In the shade of the tall maritime pines, you’ll feel as if you’re in a true oasis—the perfect place to relax and cool off on hot summer days. The tree canopy also provides natural shade for your car, serving as a spacious and convenient private parking area where you can leave your vehicle with complete peace of mind. The pine forest also winds along beautiful trails and bike paths that connect Marina di Grosseto to Grosseto, Principina, and Castiglione della Pescaia, allowing you to go for bike rides in close contact with nature, immersed in a surreal atmosphere, and breathe in the healthy, salty air.

CARE AND PROTECTION OF THE TERRITORY

Blue flag beach resort

Over time, Marina di Grosseto has successfully modernized itself, improving the quality of its services without neglecting the care and preservation of the local environment.

Precisely because it has always managed to combine tourism development with respect for and protection of the environment, our town has been proud to hold the prestigious international “Blue Flag” designation for years.

A charming seaside town that offers the peace and tranquility typical of small towns, yet is well-equipped to welcome tourists, thanks in part to the local “Marina di San Rocco” marina—a modern facility equipped to accommodate boats of various sizes and featuring shops, a restaurant, a gas station, and other mooring services.
