The beach is nestled within the Maremma Natural Park, just a few kilometers from the town of Alberese and the visitor center. It is a beautiful stretch of fine, golden sand, bordered by the lush greenery of the pine forest. During the summer months, there is an admission fee. Tickets can be purchased directly at the Maremma Natural Park visitor center in Alberese.
The beach can be reached via a bike path that starts at the Park’s Visitor Center and stretches for 8 km along a beautiful route surrounded by meadows where herds of cows and wild horses graze undisturbed and where it’s not uncommon to encounter other species of wildlife, such as foxes and wild boars wandering about curiously. For those who love nature, even in its wildest form.
