A Practical Guide: How to Get There

Cala Civette isn’t the kind of beach where you can just “drive up and take a dip.” To get there, you have to love nature. The journey involves a walk along the trails of the Bandite di Scarlino.

• The route: It’s about a 30-minute drive from our hotel to the area near Cala Violina. From there, the trail will lead you to Cala Civette.
  
• A practical tip: Since this is a natural area, the trail isn’t paved. Wear sneakers or light hiking shoes. Save your flip-flops for when you reach the shore! The walk is pleasant and shaded, but wearing the right footwear makes all the difference.

No. Cala Civette is a completely wild beach with no amenities. You’ll need to come prepared with water, food and everything else you’ll need for the day. We recommend that you make all the necessary arrangements before leaving our hotel.

3. Is it recommended for people with small children or strollers?

It’s not the easiest option. The route involves a walk along a nature trail and the beach has no shade structures or restrooms. For families with very young children, we recommend our beaches in Marina di Grosseto, which are more convenient and equipped with every amenity for parents.
